This must be one of the most well-known plants in the world.  The uniquely shaped fower of this exotic tropical perennial resembles a bird´s head, and due to it´s brilliant orange and blue colors and unique form, it resembles not just any bird but a bird-of-paradise!  Fantastically handsome flowers aside, this is also a very attractive foliage plant.

Our flowers are grown in the beautiful town of Antigua Guatemala, in the Department of Sacatepéquez, may be the most outstanding and best-preserved colonial city in Spanish America with its natural beauty, historic monuments, temperate, climate and friendly inhabitants.  Antigua, was also declared by the UNESCO the "World Heritage Site".
